We all “experience” on a daily basis. By experience I mean the emotions and the sensations you feel in your body and energy field. This process starts the moment you wake up. You feel drowsy, miserable to get out of the bed and begin your day. Of course, this is an after effect of your late night movie programme but you have begun your day with an “experience’ i.e. a feeling of miserable and strong reluctance in your system to get up and get going.

You see the clock and quickly decide that you can sleep for 15 mins more if you hurry with your bath and if you catch the 9.15 am local. There, you have it; you get up late, bathe in a state of panic, stuff your breakfast in fright and rush frenziedly to catch the 9.15 am local which left the station 5 mins back. You wait for the next train gasping, screaming with anxiety in your mind for the next train to come; the thought of your boss summoning you to his cabin or shooting off stinkers for late coming is making your pulse beat faster. You then start calculating mentally “Next Train 9.27 a.m that means add 25 mins to reach the station and 10 mins running from there to swipe your card at the office entrance on time before the grace period expires for the 10.00 am shift. All this while, your body is gripped with anxiety, in a state of high alert, you are sweating, cursing yourself for being late, you relax only when you barge into the office and plonk yourself at your
workstation. How do you feel when you read this, does it sound familiar? Isn’t this a horrifying experience? By 12.00 clock in the afternoon, the ‘morning rush hour’ experience is forgotten but your body has registered the whole thing in the cell memories. For the body, it was a threat to its existence; it worked over time and exerted itself to cope with the ‘danger’. The damage has already been done. Soon, this ‘experience’ will manifest in the form of a stress related disorder. You may not even be aware that seeds for the “Heart attack”, “Stroke or IBS” that you suffered few days/weeks/months/years later were sown that morning.

There are countless such experiences that happen to you all the time which you may not remember but nevertheless affects your emotions, your body and your energy field. Television has become a national pastime today but the kind of stuff they show complete with graphics and background score is enough to send shivers down the spine. Watching a bomb exploding, a car crashing, a person being beaten brutally or dead bodies strewn all over the place after a terrorist attack are experiences that gets lodged in our system very subtly and breed in our consciousness only to trigger panic attacks, anxiety disorders down the line.

Similarly, loss of near & dear ones, heartbreaks, losing to colleagues at workplace are examples of “experiences” which impact us greatly and we seek help only when these show up as problems.

Needless to say, when ‘’experiences” become problems how cruel life can become, how much we suffer. You must be thinking “I agree with you but is there a way out? How can we stop experiences from becoming problems?

The answer is Yes. Using EFT, “Experiences” stored in your energy field can be balanced and thus be stopped from breeding and manifesting in the form of chronic issues. These are usually stored in various parts of your body and it’s always a good thing to lie down and connect with the parts of your body, talk to them and do some good ol’ tapping.

Here’s a technique I would like to share to release these trapped “experiences” which you may not be aware of but which greatly affect your energy system, using EFT. I am choosing the “Heart’ area to describe the technique.

1) Lie down; relax your self by gently breathing for sometime till you feel very comfortable and peaceful.

2) Now focus your attention on your heart, if your mind wanders, gently bring it back to your heart. Feel the rhythmic movement of your heart beat. Do this for atleast 5 mins.

3) Now, keep your attention lovingly focussed on your heart, start tapping lightly on your “personal point” (Your personal point will be one of the points used in EFT where you experience the maximum release/relief when tapped, my personal point is ‘Under the eyes”). Keep tapping lovingly without keeping any expectations from whatever you are doing. (You do not need to use any statements; important thing is to be one with your heart and keep tapping).

4) Continue focusing on your heart lovingly and tapping simultaneously.

5) You are now stirring the ‘experiences’ trapped in your heart. Your mind will start wavering more or wandering more. Be aware that the thoughts come at this point have some connection with the experiences trapped in your heart. *Write the thoughts (issues) that come up on a piece of paper and number them. Do not write them in paragraph form because that’s how trapped emotions and thoughts are stacked up together in your system so you always find it difficult to make sense what the real problem is. Be specific, number them and write them separately. For example: Angry thoughts about your husband’s behaviour and an event in your childhood where your classmates made fun of you and you felt mad, may come up together…. don’t stack them…write it separately. Keep tapping with one hand keeping your attention focussed on your heart while writing.

6) If you have nothing left to write, continue tapping with both hands. As emotions start coming up and getting tapped, you may experience choking/crying, allow it. Your body may or may not allow release of all locked energy as it deems necessary for it to cope with the healing that day. Do not exert or force.

7) Feel if you want to tap more or want to stop for the day. Be gentle and aware of what your body says.

8) Now, close your eyes and visualize Green color filling your heart and surrounding it. Green is the energy of Healing. See your heart healing with the natural color (green) we see everywhere.

9) Now, end the exercise by visualizing pink color filling your heart and surrounding your aura. Pink represents positive emotions like Love, compassion, kindness etc.

10) Thank the body for co-operating in this process. Relax for sometime closing your eyes and whenever you feel comfortable, you may gently open your eyes. (Would recommend it for Heart patients.)

You are now empowered to release “experiences” from your body. Take each body part systematically for ex: shoulders, scalp, knees or prostrate and use this technique for unlocking and releasing negative energy from that part of your body. (Substitute that part instead of the heart in the above technique).

*Tap separately for all the issues/events you have listed down specifically while tapping on each body part.

Would love your feedback on the results you will have with the above. Have fun releasing all those unknown/unwanted clutter from your body.
