The Boston Celtics are in a roll once again. But this time, the team needed Ray Allen to make a pressure packed three point basket to insure that the Celtics do win. Allen received a pass from Paul Pierce and attempted a baseline three pointer with 0.5 seconds remaining to hand the Celtics their 12 straight victory with a 100-99 squeaker past the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night.

Philadelphia’s shooting guard Andre Igoudala had just hit a fade away jumper for a , off-balanced running shot that decreased the deficit to 92-90 with 2:42 seconds left. He committed his fifth foul though on a Lou Williams’ lay up with the ball going in the basket. Williams made his bouns free throw to give the Sixers a five point lead once again.

Davis made a wide open 17 foot jumper to make the score at 95-92. Pierce then was fouled and sank the two free throws awarded to him and cuts the lead down to one at 95-94.

Igoudala’s jumper with 6.8 seconds appeared to put the Sixers safely out of reach. He had Pierce guarding him and was able to escape while dribbling and hit the fade away jumper just  above the free throw line. The Sixers celebrated wildly on the bench as he pumped his fists at his teammates. He top scored for the Sixers while Andre Miller had 21.

Philadelphia did not receive any major production from Elton Brand when they made their run. Brand suffered a dislocated right shoulder in december and appears to not have fully recovered from it. He played wearing a protective cover over his shoulder and was scoreless in only 8 minutes of action as he came off the bench.
