If you're anything like me, losing weight has always been a struggle. I was always trying to find the best way to lose weight, but in reality, the answer was staring me right in the face the entire time. In this brief article, I'm going to share 3 key things that I did to lose over 50 pounds within the last 12 months. Hopefully by the time you're finished reading this, you'll have picked up on a few things that will assist you in your journey to shed those unwanted pounds.

The first thing that I did was dump my junk food diet. I cleaned out all of the cabinets and threw out everything that I had no business eating. Gradually making the transition from bad to healthy diet never worked for me personally, so I went cold turkey. No more junk food — period.

Secondly, I recruited a few family members to keep me accountable. I'm naturally a competitive person by nature, so the last thing that I ever wanted to do was admit failure. This accountability kept me on track.

Last but not least, I began to exercise each and every day. Exercising is one of those things that everyone knows they should be doing, but very few follow through with. I used to be one of those people, and I'm proud to say that I now have a daily exercise routine in place that is working like gangbusters.

Hopefully this brief article has provided some valuable insight into how I was finally able to lose weight. This stuff isn't rocket science, and it can work for anyone if you get serious about your weight loss goals and stick to it. Put together a plan and stay the course, you'll see the results that you're looking for sooner than you can ever imagine.
